Short n sweet with... Katie Kempster

Central Coast Personal Branding Photographer

The beautiful Katie Kempster of Harmonic Hypnobirthing is launching a new website and it was my honour to have spent a gorgeous afternoon with her to update her portfolio photos for the site. Katie is a multi talented woman, as well as offering hypnobirthing services, Katie creates bushflower remedies, sound therapy through drumming and bowl work as well as water blessings. Katie radiates peace, strength and inner beauty and it was a joy to spend time with Katie and learn more about her practice.

Sal's Surf School

Central Coast Documentary Photographer

I was pretty stoked to be able to take some business photos for Sal of Sal's Surf School at Umina. It was a blustery day when I headed down to Umina with my underwater housing and the kids in tow. As a high school PDHPE teacher Sal has an excellent background of managing groups of children and her explicit teaching instruction ensured all the kids were up on their feet and surfing in their first session. It was a great vibe on the beach and in the water. Sal and her partner Rhee were so accommodating of all the kids with their different ability and confidence levels. A great day out was had by all.

Westpac Rescue Helicopter - Leaders Leap

Central Coast Documentary Photographer

The Leader's Leap is a hair raising challenge which raises money for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter service. Brave (or crazy) souls willingly jump off the side of Crowne Plaza Terrigal and abseil down seven storeys. The business leaders and individuals who jumped this year certainly got into the spirit of the day with lots of superhero costumes on display. The comraderie between participants and the atmosphere on the day certainly made for a memorable day out. Their fundraising efforts resulted in more than $50,000 being donated to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service. This year I was asked to be the official photographer for the event and I was honoured to be able to offer my services.

Mother HUB retreat

Central Coast Personal Branding Photographer

Mother HUB (also known as Beckie Crumpler) recently held her first mothers retreat at Kincumba Mountain. The day was an opportunity for mums to come together to share their experiences, to connect with other mums and an opportunity to revitalise themselves in a supportive environment. Breastfeeding, bottlefeeding, disposable nappies, modern cloth nappies, co-sleeping, sleep training... all styles of mothering and parenting were welcome and encouraged. Beckie encouraged the mums to reflect on their time as mothers and to envision how they wanted their journey through motherhood to develop. Rachael from Copa Yoga led the mums and their bubs through a yoga session, while Katie from Harmonic Hypnobirthing guided the group through a meditation. I was fortunate to be part of the day taking promotional photographs and left feeling inspired to be part of such an empowering network of women.
