Short n sweet.... with the Louie family

Central Coast Documentary Newborn Photography

Sweet Charlie Rose had her parents on their toes when I arrived for their newborn photography session. Their normally placid baby girl had had an unsettled night and when I walked in the door mum was Tara still in her pj's and trying to eat her own brekkie while breastfeeding Charlie. Tara had a beautiful support network around her with hubby Dave and Tara's mum there quietly helping, organising food and drinks for Tara, burping Charlie and cleaning up baby mess off the floor. Having a calm and loving support network in place for new mums is so important, it was beautiful to see Tara being taken care of during this amazing time in her life.

Throughout the session Tara and Dave were so calm. They laughed at the timing of their bubs first unsettled night. They went quietly about trying to settle Charlie and then feeding her and changing her again when she couldn't settle. Nothing was a hassle for these new parents, they accepted with good humour everything that came their way.

I love the little memories that are captured through these sessions. Charlie had a very think umbilical cord when she was born and so three weeks later it still hadn't drop off yet, as shown in her photo below.

We had the chance to wander down there street to take in the ocean views, a daily occurrence for this lucky family. It made for a gorgeous backdrop for this chilled out little family's photos.
