Short n sweet... with the Hughes family
Family photography Central Coast
When life gets busy—between full-time work, university, and even elite-level sport—making time to get together isn’t easy. But that’s what made this session so special.
This beautiful group of adult grandchildren carved out a rare afternoon to spend time together, laugh, reconnect, and surprise their grandparents with a gift that would mean the world: family photos.
We met at Kincumba Mountain Reserve, one of the most peaceful spots on the Central Coast. Tucked into the bush with soft afternoon light, it was the perfect backdrop for something relaxed and personal.
And while not everyone arrived excited about being in front of the camera (the boys weren’t too keen on posing), it didn’t take long for things to shift. We went for a walk through the bush trails, chatted, and let the camera take a back seat. No pressure. Just time together. As we wandered and talked, the smiles came naturally, the mood lightened, and the session unfolded with ease.
No stiff smiles. Just real connection, a few cheeky sibling moments, and a lot of laughter. This crew share a close bond, even if life has pulled them in different directions.
As they talked and joked between shots, it was clear how meaningful this time was—not just for their grandparents, but for them too. Photos like these capture more than just faces—they capture relationships, shared history, and the joy of simply being together.
