There’s something so special about marking your baby’s first birthday—not just because they’ve grown so much, but because you have too. A year of firsts. A year of learning each other. And a year of love that just keeps growing.

We met this beautiful little family at Copacabana to celebrate their daughter turning one. The light was soft, the tide was gentle, and the sunset gave us the most peaceful pastels across the sky.

Their little one wasn’t quite sure about the cold sand on her feet—it’s always funny how the tiniest things can be so big when you’re one. But what she did love was cuddling up close with Mum and Dad, snuggling into their arms, safe and warm and smiling. And honestly, those are the moments that matter most.

We moved between the lagoon edge and the beach, letting the session stay relaxed and natural. Nothing rushed. Just a family soaking up the evening light, taking in this milestone together. There were giggles, quiet moments, and lots of connection.

The sunset gave us a beautiful end to the session—soft pinks and blues stretching over the water, perfectly reflecting this gentle, joy-filled chapter in their lives.
