Short n sweet .... with dancer Eva
Central Coast Dance Photographer
Eva’s mum chose such a thoughtful and memorable birthday gift for her daughter—a dance photography session to celebrate her passion and talent. It was the perfect way to honour Eva’s hard work and grace as a dancer while creating something beautiful she can look back on for years to come.
From the moment Eva arrived, I knew we were in for a special afternoon. She was absolutely stunning—not just in the way she looked, but in her quiet confidence and kind nature. Humble, polite, and so easy to work with, Eva brought such a lovely energy to our session. It’s always such a joy to photograph someone who is both passionate about what they do and genuinely lovely to be around.
She came well prepared, bringing along several of her favourite dance costumes, which gave us so many different looks to play with. From soft and romantic to bold and dramatic, each costume brought out a different side of her personality and style as a dancer. I was also really impressed that Eva had spent time thinking about the different poses she wanted to try. That preparation helped our session flow naturally and meant we could make the most of every location.
We spent the afternoon around the lake and beach, taking advantage of the soft light and the ever-changing textures of water, sand, and bushland. These backdrops gave us so much variety in her images—from graceful leaps in front of the lake, to dramatic silhouettes against the setting sun.
Eva’s mum and little brother came along too, and it was lovely having them there. Her brother had a blast splashing in the lake and jumping in the surf, which kept him smiling and gave Eva the space to relax and enjoy herself.
It was such a beautiful afternoon—filled with laughter, creativity, and the kind of moments that remind you just how special it is to capture someone doing what they love.
