I arrived to this quiet, peaceful home to find everyone having down time. Newborn baby Remi was so relaxed. She was sleeping when I got there and didn’t fuss when she was brought out to be part of the session. Big sister Ava was having quiet time after a big night at the Taylor Swift concert. So jealous - can’t believe this six year old has been to see Tay Tay and I haven’t managed it yet.

Lucky for us Ava was still in a good mood. This kid has character plus. She is so bold and sassy. Not at all backwards in coming forwards, Ava had us all in stitches. This first born certainly rules the roost. Apparently when Ava found out she was going to be a big sister, she was NOT impressed. She was not interested in having a baby in her home. And she was not afraid to let her mum and dad know. Fortunately, the big sister role has grown on Ava, baby Remi isn’t so bad after all. Ava was very keen to show me baby Remi’s toys, her beautiful nursery, to cuddle with her baby sister either on the couch or in her cot.

There’s a mad footy rivalry in this household. The girls are die hard Souths fans. Dad is the lone Rooster. So of course we had to get the obligatory jersey shot of Ava and her daddy. I may have heard mention that baby Remi has her own jersey too…much to dad’s disgust.

This family was so relaxed throughout the session, they laughed easily and readily, happy in their beautifully renovated home together.
